Nom Nom

Having heard so much about Nom Nom, we decided to try out this place last weekend with friends. We made a reservation to avoid waiting given it was a weekend. Upon arrival we were greeted by the manager who shows us our table and thus began a journey of what we call sinful indulgence of Asian food at Nom Nom!

Overall:

Food: 4/5

Ambience: 4/5

Service:3/5

The table is laid out well with plates, silverware and different kind of dips/chutneys as a condiment for your meal. The dips consisted of sun-dried tomatoes hummus, garlic & Schezwan sauce among others.

We started with appetizers and decided to call for Wanton triangles in messy spicy sauce: as soon as the dish arrived, we couldn’t wait to try it. Very often does the dish taste as good as it looks but this one was exceptional! Crispy wanton triangle sheets mixed with vegetables, bird chilli sauce and served messy. The taste was perfectly balanced neither too salty nor spicy. This is a must have at here.

Italian creme circle: summer in a glass!  peach crush with orange juice on crushed ice topped with cream on top. The peach and orange juice blend very well and the cream appealed to the sweet tooth in us to add to enjoy in the meal. If you enjoy a drink with your meal, go on and order a mock tail already as We are sure they won’t disappoint.

Spinach, cottage cheese and corn dim sum: one portion includes six pieces or delicious warm dim sums stuffed with cottage cheese and corn. We only wished the size of the dim sum was a little bigger so as to satisfy our taste buds and tummy. The exo vegetable dim sum also seemed very interesting and is on our wish list for the next time we are here.

Garlic tossed wok fried oriental vegetables: as soon as we took the first bite of this gravy we’d wished we had ordered for something else instead. The taste was mediocre and nothing very special.

Yaki Udon (Japanese) veg noodles: wheat noodles loaded with vegetables and stir fried in thick soy sauce is a great choice if you are looking to try something  different. We personally enjoyed the soy sauce flavour in the noodles and recommend that you try this dish out when visiting Nom Nom for sure, , we couldn’t help ourselves but to go Nom Nom with every bite!
To sum it up, Nom Nom is a place you should be heading to make the most of your meal time with loved ones along with delicious Asian food and peaceful ambience. The restaurant was pretty full while we were there so reservations are recommended. We are definitely coming back here for the Sushi next time!
