Brunchin’ at Boveda

If all you want to do is relax, eat and drink a little this weekend we suggest you head to Boveda for a brunch date with friends/ family. With a lavish spread of salads, waffles, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, desserts and more, you will only leave Boveda over stuffed and satisfied of having well spent your Sunday afternoon while sipping on your favorite drink. We enjoyed an intense meal while being serenaded with a live music performance and here is a lowdown of our experience in detail. Located in Andheri, Boveda is easily accessible to the station and situated very close to infinity mall as well.

Overall:

Food: 3/5

Ambience: 3.5/5

Service: 3.5/5

Value for Money: 3.5/5

For those who want to indulge in a very light yet continental breakfasts they have several Breads, salads, cereals and desserts on display by the bar.

Live counter: serves Shawarma, Barbecue and Waffles & pancakes. We tried the veggie & mushroom barbecue which was a delight to our taste buds and tummy. While the pancakes were a little too thick and mediocre in taste, the waffles were delicious and definitely recommended.

From the sandwiches section we tried the oven roasted sandwich with parmesan cheese, lettuce and  mayo on the staff’s recommendation and boy it was worth every bite. Served with crispy French fries, the sandwiches section is a must try!

Double Melon twist: Watermelon, muskmelon, Cranberry juice & vanilla reminded us of the jolly rancher watermelon flavor. A perfect beginning for the meal on a sweet yet tangy note. Definitely recommended.

Masala Tini: in order to try something different we opted for the Masala Tini which was made out of coriander, ginger, lemon grass, lime and green apply syrup. With our first sip of the drink we felt that this mocktail lost its taste with too many ingredients in it. This could have been better if a prepared minus a few ingredients. However, we would recommend the Cucumber cooler – as it looks delicious and only contains cucumbers, lime, sugar and mint

Milkshakes: Vanilla, strawberry, Chocolate, Banana, Mango & Oreo are the flavors that are available for you at the counter. Placed in mini and super mason jars, the milkshakes are a must must must have at Boveda. The fastest running item at the restaurant gets better with every sip you take and only keeps you longing for more. We tried the Oreo and Vanilla flavors and will be fans of their milkshakes forever. (partial credit goes to the mason jars 😉 )

Feast Pizza: with onions, mushrooms, zucchini, bell peppers & olives we were really looking forward to the pizza. The pizza could have been much better if it was cooked a little longer and seasoned correctly. However, with so many other items on the menu, we weren’t too worried of going back home half full.

For dessert we had a lemon tart, chocolate brownie and cupcake which was a perfect way to end our lovely brunch at Boveda.

Overall, the next time you are looking at having an elaborate brunch over a couple of hours and drinks with your buddies, try Boveda’s brunch as the staff and menu won’t disappoint you. To top it all, you can ask for your favorite board/card game from the ones available with the staff (UNO, monopoly etc) and double the fun of your brunch date!
