Last weekend we had a lot of relatives over and with the madness of entertaining everyone, showing them around Mumbai taking a toll on us, we decided to call for takeout for our Sunday Lunch. When we were looking for options to call from, we came across Indizza – The Delivery Kitchen, a newly launched kitchen based in Lower Parel, specializing in Indian food take out (only). we dialed their number and decided to try them out, making life easier for our mother and everyone around the house.
Value for Money: 3.5/5
Bharwan Mushroom: chunky mushrooms filled with cheese and Masala was the perfect start to our meal! The mushrooms were perfectly cooked and soft. the chutney is an added bonus, and is also served with raw onions.
Paneer Jeera Mirch Tikka: for those who like to start their meal with medium spices/flavoring or generally go with this preference, this is going to be your new favorite dish. Soft chunks of Paneer Tikka with capsicum, tomato and onions are a good choice for Paneer lovers.
Banarsi Kebab: soft kebabs with veggie filling was a little disappointing in taste; we found it a little bland and wish it tasted as good as it looked. These images have been clicked with my new Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, and we are loving the image quality & clarity
Banjara Kofta: for the main course we had three types of gravies and this one was our favorite! Soft kofta’s drenched in Masala gravy was scrumptious to a different level which leaves us short of words! Must try at Indizza
Paneer Makhani: the gravy was great, but the Paneer could have been better in terms of softness. But overall a safe choice to go with in the main course.
Veg Noorani Masala: this was a rendition of the mix vegetable gravy which was spicy, flavored well and complemented the rotis.
Dal Makhani: delicious. Must order here, topped with little cream was delicious with Roti and the biryani! Add some lemon and raw onions to enjoy this dish to its optimum level 🙂
Biryani: long and soft grains of basmati rice with just the right amount of flavoring was delicious, although we could do with a little less of the garam Masala. The raita was very different from what we’ve had with biryani’s at several places, and we loved it so much we cleant the entire bowl. Only thing missing was some papad with the biryani, otherwise, recommended to order from here!
Assorted Rotis: special mention to the romali roti, garlic naan and tandoori roti – they were too good. Other rotis we had were good, too.
The only thing missing after such a good meal was a dessert to add to our overfull tummies, but we settled for some homemade rabdi & gulab jamun from Gits (coming soon on the blog)! With the new trend of delivery kitchens opening in the city, we think Indizza does a good job with their food and delivery, and we look forward to ordering from here more often.
Have a favorite place you order from regularly? We’d love to hear from you- do share with us 🙂
