Kebab Korner

The next time you are looking to take the special someone out on a date/evening, head to Kebab Korner at Intercontinental on Marine Drive. We list below our experience trying out the new menu curated by Chef Bhairav Singh.

Food: 4/5

Service: 4/5

Ambience: 4/5

Value for Money: 3.5/5

We started our evening with an assorted basket of baby kulchas, and couldn’t decide which one was our most favorite. perfectly cooked, well-flavored, this one is recommended here. We also tried the Paneer Tikka, and were delighted with the softness and the flavoring of the dish in general. The one appetizer that is a must-havefrom this menu is the moong dal pops! Stuffed with cheese, moong dal is the perfect snack to begin your meal with. The pineapple salsa served with the pops is delicious to a whole new level, that has to be tasted and cannot be explained.

Special mention to the Zimikand Chips, plantain, aubergine baked chips served with salsa. Disclaimer: once you start, you won’t be able to stop yourself from munching on these deliciously crispy chips. Absolute must-have here.

For the main course we tried the bharwan mirchi, which reminded us of our childhood days in Rajasthan. Stuffed with dal & cheese, topped with red gravy, this one is suited for all taste buds as its perfectly balanced. The Khatte Karari Bhindi, American corn kadi, and signature dal Makhani aren’t to be missed. We relished the main course with an assorted bread basket.

For the drinks we tried the pan mojito, bloody Mary among others and we were very happy with what we were served. The kala khatta gola cocktail was unavailable during our visit, giving us another reason to look forward to when we head there next time. P_20160323_201844

Portion of Dark chili chocolate, Boondi Jalebi and rose stuffed gulab jamun with dry rose petals were served for dessert, where the chef ensured we ended the meal on a high (sugar rush) note. The dessert plate was wiped clean within minutes, and we could have gone for a second serving if we had  unlimited space in our stomach.

Overall, Kebab Korner & Chef Singh ensures that the time spent at the restaurant is worth every second with great food, ambience, service & memories. A visit to KK is recommended from us for when you are looking for a complete fine-dine experience, you will leave satisfied, probably planning your next visit here.
