Every time we passed by the Shivaji Park area, we find a new place opening every other week/month. Sizzle House, as the name suggests specialize in sizzlers, and we thought of trying the place out. Here’s our take on what’s in store for you at Sizzle House.
Value for Money: 3/5
Iced teas: pink lemonade comes in a beautiful martini glass and is delicious but the peach n passion iced tea can be avoided here.Salad: so when the salad was being placed on our table, we experienced the classic example of looks can be deceiving! What looked like spaghetti (delicious!) turned out to be beautifully cut and presented carrot spaghetti. The salad consists of mixed lettuce, cherry tomato, carrot spaghetti, olives, balsamic dressing with feta on top!Mexicolo paneer satay: soft paneer grilled and satayed with delicious indian-mexican sauces on top is perfect way to start your meal! Must have here. The paneer dishes here are the best and what we enjoyed the most.Crispy paneer: this one was the highlight of the evening. At first we were surprised as to what this dish was, but as we bit into the first bite – we knew we were in love. Love at first bite. The sauce/dip/chutney that comes with this adds to the taste and how. Must order dish here.Manchurian sizzlers: this was completely different from our expectations of a sizzler plate. Rice topped with Manchurian gravy and fried wontons & potato wedges were decent in taste. We would suggest opting for another one than this – as we realized that Manchurian is something that you should have from your local chindian outlet near your house, college or adda with friends.Sizzling brownie: not too much of a fan of this version, we’ve definitely had better. Considering this place specializes in Sizzlers – this one can be avoided here.
The location is convenient, food tastes average, ambience is good (too much smoke due to the sizzlers though – so asthmatic patients keep this in mind) and would recommend going here for the paneer dishes for sure.
