Let’s talk about it, shall we?

A new week, a new beginning. Every so often we think to ourselves that every new week calls for something new to start with – be it health, personal, professional goals, family, relationships etc., and we get busy in the whirlwind of our daily routine activities and overlook the goals we have set for ourselves. One such area which many of us are ignoring or not paying full attention to due to our busy schedules is health. Health – a very broad term that has various definitions for every individual.

Image result for excericse regularlyWith a crazy schedule of work and eating out almost every day with food blogging – we try to maintain a healthy balance in diet by taking our dabba/tiffin every day and fruits for snacks every day. Taking care of our health doesn’t stop at that. There are many things that your body might be trying to tell you and it’s important that we listen to the signs and act towards it in due time to avoid any risks or damages to our livelihood when we are older. There are many health issues that are widely known and spoken about – diabetes, cancer, thyroid to name a few. There are a few issues that we don’t even think of or speak up to our peers, family members and friends as we think we will be ridiculed and laughed at – constipation is one such topic.

A simple question – how many of us know someone suffering from constipation? We are sure the answer is NONE. Part of the reason is that it’s a sensitive issue and no one talks about in public and the other part is that there isn’t enough awareness that an individual can be suffering from constipation. We will try our best to highlight and talk about this issue and hope readers will be convinced to share and reach out to their peers, friends and family if anyone is suffering from this to get a solution and cure out before it’s too late to do anything – all because you didn’t know one could suffer from constipation.

There are various types of constipation – even an extremely healthy individual could be suffering from this. There are various reasons an individual can be constipated lack of exercise, less intake of water/liquids, low-fiber diet and the most important and frequently ignored the urge to use the washroom. With our busy schedules at work and travel we often think of using the washroom until we get to a clean one or when you get home/work. This major concern and an alarming bell that your body starts speaking to you about suffering from constipation.

What is the solution/remedy for constipation?

With our grandmothers/mothers and us hailing from a country where Ayurveda and home-remedies are a hit, we indulge in home remedies as the first solution or step to curing any uneasiness, disease or health issues. However, when it comes to constipation; a home remedy might not be the best idea. As every body type is different, the remedy and solution for what you are going through is different as well.

Consult your doctor on the best solution, maintain a healthy lifestyle, exercise regularly, eat regularly and if you have to use the washroom; find a washroom and do your business.
